1968 Shelby KR500 KING of the ROAD

We’ve heard stories about people having to sell their dream car because they got married, but Darryn Beasley may be the only person who’s ever bought one as a direct result of his wedding day. “My dad Dennis had various classics when I was growing up and one of them was a 1967 Mustang convertible,” explains Darryn. “I barely remember it, but that started my passion for cars and I always said I’d own a Mustang. They were rare back then and really stood out in the UK. When I married my wife Emma in 2015, my best man Keith arranged a Mustang as a surprise to take us to the church; unfortunately the car he’d hired was late so we had to make our own way. At that point I decided I’d buy my own Mustang.”
