Beat / How did you experience your gradual transition from classical music to jazz?

Anomalie / I started playing the piano at 4 years old and it was classical lessons for several years. Then jazz when I was around 16-17.

Beat / That‘s pretty late!

Anomalie / I guess so, although I always gravitated towards improvising and composing.

Beat / What unites the two styles: You value instrumental virtuosity. What role does it play in your own music?

/ For me, the arrangement counts far more. That enjoys the highest priority and everything else must be subordinate to it.
