Farewell, Your Majesty
AS an Englishman in my early seventies, I have had a lifelong admiration of Queen Elizabeth II, fuelled by the wonderful special royal issues of COUNTRY LIFE, starting with the Coronation issue that I avidly studied as a child. Our Queen experienced many of the problems of her people with health and family issues, but she gave us strength to cope and smile as she worked and served her people to the very end. Our country and the world have changed immensely during her reign, but by her life and her daily tasks she reminded us of the good and honourable way to live our lives. She will be missed, but she will never be forgotten. Nicholas O’Callen-Smith, Dorset
