It’s been three years since the last Radar, but the team have made up for lost time by upping the ante in every way. The Guildford weekender’s now expanded to a three-day extravaganza, with headliners ranging far beyond the confines of prog metal. Avant-garde darlings Leprous, experimental prog metal crew Haken and jazz-rock’s merry men Dirty Loops helm a wide bill – and the attendees are just as diverse as a result.

It’s hard to think of a recent prog event that’s felt this inclusive. This isn’t just a get-together for young metalheads, especially on Sunday when Plini and Dirty Loops – the latter of whom make their UK debut – cram the venue up to the rafters.
