STOP THE BICKERING
WITH regards to Stuart Hollings’ superb article on showing (opinion, 25 August), I strongly disagree with marks being split 60/40 (show/conformation). Why should conformation suddenly drop by 10 marks? More horses and ponies with issues would win via a higher ride mark, allowing substandard animals to beat those with better conformation marks.
Conformation is a huge part of judging and it would cause more bickering and social media issues.
