THE INDUSTRY CHALLENGE

As many of us now recognise, there is a Health & Safety Executive proposal to ban the use of lead in airgun ammunition, as well as for shotgun and firearm cartridges. There is likely to be a transition period of five years for airgun ammo to enable the industry to create alternatives. Indoor target shooting will be exempt, as will licensed ranges where lead recovery rates are at a level deemed acceptable.
