Autumn kit picks

Our peak riding season is in the rear view mirror, and while there is much to be said on the subject of climate change and its very real impact, the long stretches of dry weather and a heatwave or two did at least mean opportunity to get out on our bikes. For the Cyclist team, that meant putting our summer kit picks to good use.

But the long days must come to an end, and there’s no escaping the fact that the evenings are drawing in as the year marches towards its twilight. Even the pro calendar, stretching as it does for ten months of the year, is beginning to wind down. All Grand Tours having been toured, and the only race of note still to be contested is – appropriately in this instance – the Race of the Falling Leaves, Il Lombardia.

With autumn’s more unpredictable riding conditions being a little trickier to account for, the autumn version of kit picks is one of the more valuable editions in the (still consistently valuable) series. Cycling form is hard
