This is the last time EA Sports and FIFA will be teaming up on a game together, but you can still expect lots of new features. For the first time we are getting women’s soccer players and clubs. We’ll also get a full 2022 World Cup mode. We can also confirm that cross-play is now supported between consoles of the same generation, which will make online play more fun. On the gameplay front, the HyperMotion engine introduced last year has been upgraded. EA did twice as much motion-capture, and there’s another 2,000 animations, bringing the total up to 6,000 – wow! Dribbling and jockeying have been changed significantly, so you have more realistic control over changing directions and acceleration.
