When hard-working duty solicitor Cleo Roberts (Tracy Ifeachor, ) goes to the police station to take on a case, she has no idea what’s coming. Her new defendant, Talitha Campbell, (Céline Buckens, ), the arrogant estranged daughter of a wealthy property developer, is charged with conspiracy to murder a fellow university student. When the press gets wind, Roberts finds herself working through a media storm that is about more than just the facts of the case. The show is produced by the company behind and written by Ben Richards (, , ). He told the BBC that asks: “How do our prejudices affect the outcome of justice? To what extent should the right to a fair trial take precedence over our need for a culprit and understandable instincts for revenge?”
