YES, it has sure been hot in recent weeks. I know one or two breeders who have lost birds in the heat. So the lesson has to be: good ventilation, spray the birds and maybe spray the birdroom roof to get those temperatures down. I am just so pleased that when I built my birdroom more than 30 years ago I built in brick with a cavity wall. Hence my room is always cool and I am so pleased I didn’t go for the standard timber construction.
