    Creative sparks come from all sorts of places. Our project design editor, Dillon Baker’s inspiration for this night stand came from some boxes that were stacked randomly in his bedroom. The notion of “what if” when allowed to breathe, can take on a life of its own. While the initial take on this capricious little cabinet might have you scoffing — you should take a closer look, buster.

    The cases for the base and drawer are made of mitered 1"-thick white oak panels that are held together with splines buried in stopped slots. How about that little drawer that lives in the cock-eyed case? Behind that lovely false front is a box jointed case that rides smoothly along some drawer runners that you’ll also
