Eighteen months ago, Samantha Armytage sensationally announced she was leaving her longstanding job on Sunrise in favour of a simpler life in the NSW Southern Highlands.
“It's full of sociopaths and narcissists,” she insisted of the industry that made her a household name.
Three months after leaving, the cracks between her and former newsreader Natalie Barr would also be laid bare. “She just needs to get on and enjoy it and forget about me… (even though I'm unforgettable) peace out” Sam sneered of her former co-worker, before telling fans, “Nat's wanted the job, forever… and she's finally got it”.
