A master class in revolution

he hills and valleys of the Brecon Beacons look like they might be the greenest place in the UK. That’s probably a lot to do with the famous rain, but today the mountains of South Wales are basking in sunshine. Sheep shelter their lambs in the fields, hedgerows buzz with pollinators and the famous red kites circle in the thermals above. It seems like somewhere for farming, or camping, or rambling. It doesn’t seem like somewhere for a post-capitalist revolution. But that’s what’s happening at the new Black Mountains College in Talgarth, just down the road from the book town of Hay-on-Wye. BMC is more than just another educational institution. As well as its groundbreaking syllabus, it has no separate departments
