Contain your excitement

It’s no coincidence that planting combinations for pots are often called recipes: it’s all about mixing a range of ingredients to make something appealing and exciting. But I don’t think of container plantings as a trifle or even lasagne – I want each pot to be a meal in itself, so to speak, and by grouping pots together I hope to make a splendid feast that lasts for months on end.
