Giving back
Banned from getting behind the wheel for five years and ordered to do an alcohol treatment programme, I kept my word.
I cried through AA meetings, wondering if things would ever change.
Mum came to stay.
‘I’m broken, I don’t know what to do,’ I told her.
‘You aren’t alone,’ she said.
She was right.
