‘Outstanding’ Traveller wins for the Ullswater

“THIS is the first time I have ever won the championship at Rydal and it’s something that I have always wanted,” said Ullswater huntsman John Weller, who was thrilled after his outstanding young doghound, Traveller, had been awarded the overall show championship. It was even better that Traveller was walked by his partner Sharron Holmes.

This is a unique prize, where an independent judge is called in to choose the best of show from the champion fellhound, harrier, beagle and terrier. This task fell to former Border master and huntsman Michael
