I am increasingly disenchanted by suburban gardens I observe in new housing development areas and in older residential locations too. Can we still call them gardens? There is a trend in human existence as routines hum with technological busyness and disconnection from nature for low-maintenance, sparsely planted space combined with neat and tidy, but does this authentically honour nature’s needs, or our own?
