O YOU WORK FROM HOME OR THE OFFICE? Predominantly in the office. There’s great energy in the Whispr HQ, and we love to converse, collaborate and learn new things as a team. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORKSPACE? It exudes calming and soft energy, elevated by design details and our amazing team’s vivacious personalities! WHAT INITIALLY APPEALED TO YOU ABOUT THE SPACE? The Surry Hills location is a haven for any building out front and a bamboo-filled courtyard at the back. The expansive windows on both ends of our office welcome light into the space and allow us to people-watch and greet the happy dogs that run past our door. COULD YOU DESCRIBE A TYPICAL WORKDAY? It is filled with client and internal strategy meetings, searching for media opportunities, reporting, chatting with journalists, showroom tours, event planning, writing and more. No day is the same which keeps us on our toes and we love it! DO YOU USE YOUR SPACE TO ENTERTAIN CLIENTS? We love inviting clients around as well as catching up with journalists and creatives in the architecture and design landscape to discuss any exciting opportunities within the industry. And we’re never short for coffee runs or delicious treats from Humble Bakery just around the corner (we have sampled their iconic finger bun more times than we would like to admit!). WHAT IS A DREAM OBJECT THAT YOU WOULD BUY FOR YOUR SPACE RIGHT NOW? We are in awe of Sabine Marcelis – the way in which she blends the worlds of art and design together in abstract shapes, colours and materiality to create a sensorial experience, and her boundary-pushing attitude towards the creative landscape. Any piece from her collection would be a welcome addition. IF YOUR STUDIO WERE LOCATED ANYWHERE ELSE WHERE WOULD THAT BE? We wouldn’t say no to a magical water view! Working in Sydney and being able to look up and see the ocean sounds like a dream. WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN THE COMING YEAR? Our incredible clients have so many exciting projects, launches and events coming up and we’re thrilled to be a part of it all.
