    They say that rain can be a great leveller – the riders with more power cannot use it as easily and riding smoothness is rewarded. Some quick riders can struggle, while others can make rapid gains.

    All of this was demonstrated at Pembrey. The driest period was for practise and early races on Saturday , after which it then just got wet and stayed wet!
