A true Mini legend
Patrick Barron Hopkirk MBE passed away at the age of 89. We’re sure all our readers will join us in sending our condolences to his wife Jenny, daughter Katie, sons Patrick and William and all their friends and family.
The day the news broke on Facebook, the internet became flooded with pictures, memories and tributes which showed how much he was loved and respected, not just for winning the Monte Carlo Rally back in 1964, but also for his lifelong attachment to our favourite car. He was also a good friend to the MiniWorld team, hence our desire to celebrate his life in Minis here and his dedication to the Mini and MiniWorld.
