BULK CEMENT traffic began to take over from the practice of transporting portland cement in bags loaded in 12t vans during the 1950s which could not keep up with the growing demand for cement. Specialist wagons were designed for bulk cement traffic making the distribution of cement products more efficient and with better load protection.
