Why don’t your recommended Wi-Fi tools work?

Q I tried using WifiInfoView (www.snipca.com/42257), as recommended in Issue 635’s Cover Feature on Wi-Fi, but didn’t get any further than a blank page with a message saying it couldn’t find a wireless adapter (see screenshot below). I’m not sure what this means.

I then tried), but it didn’t tell me anything I couldn’t have found out from my BT router’s software. In fact, my router’s software lists many more devices than Wireless Network Watcher, although some are greyed out. Should I delete these?
