Alex Banks: Projections

he busy British producer Alex Banks releases his third album, „Projections“, and presents captivating electronica on it, which covers a lot of different influences from Techno to Breakbeat to IDM. What characterizes Banks‘ tracks is a certain euphoria and a preference for danceable BPM numbers, which makes his music suitable for clubs, even though the artist couldn‘t be out in clubs at the time thanks to Corona restrictions and had to draw inspiration from his memory. And yet there is also a joy of experimentation inherent in the music, which makes the album predestined for quiet listening at home, as well as a hypnotically dreamy mood that develops despite all the grooves and breaks.
