It seems that every day we read about pollution around the world. From whales caught up in nets to particulates in the air we breathe, and water infested with everything from toxic chemicals to raw sewage. Then there is the growing horror of micro-plastics: tiny chunks of plastic defined as being smaller than five millimetres in diameter, which are increasingly being found inside living creatures.
The pollution problem is also getting worse in the online world, except here it’s mostly related to a tidal wave
