IT WAS an old-fashioned fight in a seaside town on a night that nobody will forget.

Chris Billam-Smith and Isaac Chamberlain delivered even more than we expected in front of a brilliant crowd at a sold-out Bournemouth International Centre. The intensity at times was frightening.

Several of the rounds could have been fought in a phone booth on the nearby pier. Or, in a Kiss-Me-Quick booth on the seaside’s front. The ocean is less than 100 metres from the BIC’s back door; there was sea salt in the air.
