ALWAYS entertaining Birmingham super-welter Sam Eggington had to settle for going the distance in securing victory at Coventry’s Skydome when he came across an immoveable object in the shape of Poland’s 30-year-old Przemyslaw Zysk. After watching him absorb blow after blow, it was no surprise to learn he’d never before been stopped.

It did seem early on as if Sam, finding the visitor an easy target, might just be the one to turn the trick. So much so that towards the end of the third Zysk looked like he might be about to wilt.

Looks, however, proved to be deceptive and he hung in before having a degree of success himself in the middle rounds during which Eggington picked
