UP IN FLAMES
Dusting the remaining ash from the fire pit, I moved it into the centre of the patio.
Adding layers of newspaper and wood, I lit the contents to hear the roar of the flames.
As a family, me and my daughter’s Olivia, now 20, and Georgia, now 19, would love to spend an evening cuddled up next to the warmth of the fire.
With my partner, Carl, stoking the wood.
And annually we made sure to celebrate with our own bonfire displays in the back garden, inviting the rest of the family over to wave sparklers in the air.
Flames had become a tradition in our family.
