SANDSTORM SANDERS TOPS HATTAH
The chance for a new name to become a Hattah champ was up for grabs and plenty of riders pinned their hopes on taking out the 2022 Penrite Hattah Desert Race. That was until Daniel Sanders announced his return from injury with his comeback race to be Hattah. Suddenly a lot of riders were now eyeing off second place.
While some would-be contenders dropped their bundle the moment Chucky publicized his Hattah intentions, there were a few willing to back themselves against the injured former champ. Surely, after five months off the bike that included three surgeries to significant shoulder and elbow injures and just a few weeks of preparation, Chucky wasn't going to walk away with another Hattah title without a fight?
So much goes on at Hattah it is difficult to condense into just one feature story so here's a snapshot from the front of the field. Lachlan Terry fired the first shot by topping prologue on his Shepparton Motorcycles Tune Tech Suspension KTM 500 EXC. Terry has finished fourth in the past two Hattah Desert Races and was ready for the top step.
