Triple Crown for the King

A lot can happen and plenty can change in the space of three years and yet some things remain the same. The Tatts Finke Desert Race didn’t run in 2020 due to the pandemic and the event was cut short in 2021 due to a tragedy. It was a long time coming but this year the race originally labeled the There and Back was finally back to normal and just as he did in 2019, Alice Springs’ local David Walsh dominated the desert. Now with three consecutive Finke wins to his name, David Walsh becomes only the fourth rider to do so, joining legends, Randall Gregory, Ben Grabham and Toby Price.
