Phone a friend – it might make THEIR DAY
As a teenager, I’d spend all day talking to my best friend at school, then go home and phone her in the evening. I’d drag the telephone from the living room to the hall, the extension cord a dangerous tripwire. ‘What can you possibly have to talk about?’ my dad would say. ‘You literally saw her three hours ago!’
