Rule the committee

It’s a beat against the tide, but with a slight left to right tidal component at Creek-Crawlers SC. The start line is starboard biased, and there is less tide on the right hand shore line.

A clean start near the committee boat will be a perfect launch pad to an early tack to lead the pack to the slacker tide on the right of the course.

“Towels down early” (Red) is making a great job of holding station in the prime spot. “Slip n slide” (Orange) is waiting to see if a gap will open up next to the committee boat: if it doesn’t, Orange can follow Red across the line, and at worst be the second boat onto port.
