Heb’ and shoulders

They say you should never meet your heroes. Well, for as long as Dave Kindig of Bitchin’ Rides TV fame, and owner / designer of Kindig-it Design can remember, the Type 14A Hebmüller has been his hero car.

In spite of all the incredible rides he’s built over the years, all of them Bitchin’ of course, none have even come close.

If you’re familiar with the guy and the show, then you’ll know he holds Volkswagen close to his heart. So, when Tracy Maxwell got in touch and asked him to build her the ultimate Volkswagen convertible, he shot down the Hebmüller rabbit hole quicker than you can say coachbuilt.

Tracy, together with her husband, Dave, are the couple behind Maxwell Automotive, and the pair are serial car collectors.
