Sophie Mercer started her company Eqcouture to combine a love of fashion with her riding hobby, at a time when her equestrian wardrobe needed refreshing.
My job…
I’m the founder and designer behind the luxury equestrian sportswear brand Eqcouture. I started the company in June 2019 with two pairs of tights — one black and one blue — and just 100 pairs of each because that’s all I could afford at the time. The reaction was really good, and it’s grown to a full clothing range. Now my customers and I can dress head-to-toe in Eqcouture, which was one of my goals.
