FOR those of us who remember the world before global warming, visiting shows was a challenge. During the 1950s and 1960s, most people could walk to local CBS shows, as clubs and events were very common. By the 1970 and 1980s, there were fewer shows and there was a rise in specialist societies. The motorway network and car ownership were increasing and exhibitors were prepared to travel out of their own local areas.
