THE aviary should be well sheltered from winds, and it is great advantage if it has a southern. With regard to planting the aviary, there is a bush which is very widely used in aviaries, and at the risk of being contradicted, I must say it is my opinion that with the exception of a few cases the box should not be there. Several of my own aviaries have had quite a few, but they have been planted some time and I honestly think they would be better out.
