Building removable steel loads

Having realistic loads on our rollingstock makes the railway/layout look more like the prototype. Studying local operations, you will find most loads are directional. A few years ago, a wagon may have carried a load of sawn timber to a local hardware store located in a western town. The wagon's next load would be something completely different, like a load of wool or maybe it went empty to another station to fill orders.

AMRM issue No.340 February 2020 published an article on trains worth modelling, Queensland Railways (QR)/ QRNational (QRN) ‘Sweeper’ freight train No. 243 and 752.
