CHAMPAGNE

VINTAGE BRUT

97 Bollinger 2014 La Grand Année Brut (Champagne). With the hallmark Bollinger richness that is derived from fermentation in wood and a high percentage of Pinot Noir in the blend, this grand wine is ripe, full of apple and spice flavors. It is drinkable now, but still young. Keep until 2024. Vintus LLC. Cellar Selection. —R.V.

95 Bollinger 2014 La Grand Année Rosé Brut (Champagne). After eight years from harvest, this Champagne is beautifully balanced. Touches of toast and a rounded texture still are lifted by the taut, minerality and complexity. This is an impressive wine with a long, lingering, memorable aftertaste that will age further, although it is ready to drink. Vintus LLC. Cellar Selection. —R.V.

abv: 12.5% Price: $240

The latest release of this producer’s prestige cuvée comes in a bottle designed by artist Jordane Saget. It is a fine, 40/60 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay giving white fruits. —R.V.
