he British rapper Example, whose real name is Elliot John Gleave, offers a colorful potpourri of different styles on his new record. Vocally, the record can clearly be attributed to Hip-Hop - at least as far as Example‘s part is concerned - but musically it‘s more difficult, since elements of rap are fused with dance, pop and drum‘n‘bass, but you can also hear Drill, Garage, Grime and House. Nevertheless, the artist, who is very successful, especially in England, manages to make everything sound homogenous and to create a pleasing sound cocktail out of it that has mainstream appeal.
