Like so many teenagers looking to express themselves, Ashlee Martinson was sharing her deepest thoughts with others online as a blogger.

But rather than the typical schoolgirl fixations of makeup or boys, Ashlee was more interested in serial killers and vampires.

The 16-year-old was obsessed with the genre of horror and she wrote dark stories about death under her pseudonym Vampchick for her blog, Nightmare.
