Many years ago, when this relatively local Eicher ES201 came in for restoration, I was very keen to get it looking right. The potential for this tractor to look good was obvious from the very beginning. The twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine started up and ran nicely, so there was no mechanical work to be done.
The tinwork was all straight and rot-free. I should imagine this was because of a couple of reasons. First, it had been looked after and second, as with most tractors from the continent, the metal was thick and strong. Another thing helping the tin was the paint that was still left on it.
