1 NSW MID NORTH COAST: Diamonds and Pearls

Close inshore reefs from Forster to Coffs Harbour have produced snapper, amberjack, sampsons, kings and pearl perch (pictured) right through the day. Deeper reefs are starting to deliver pearlies, bar cod and teraglin, with some bigger snapper being in the bag. After all these years, I’ve started to use ‘Snapper Flasher’ rigs instead of the normal paternoster rigs, and this has increased the number of quality fish taken — so you’re never too old to learn.
