What a great way to show off your lovely bloom fabrics! The technique is raw-edge appliqué — and you can do the blanket stitch by hand or by machine.

Materials
• 3.9m (4¼yd) cream print fabric (appliqué background)• 1.8m (2yd) green print fabric (Border 2 and binding)• 70cm (¾yd) pink print fabric (Border 1)• 55cm (⅝yd) yellow print fabric (block corner detail)• 40cm (⅜yd) each of 16 assorted print fabrics. Cheryl chose four pink, four red, four blue and four green print fabrics (appliqué)• 2.4m (2⅝yd) extra wide [275cm (108in)] backing fabric• Batting at least 235cm (94in) square• Fusible web• Embroidery floss to match each of the appliqué fabrics• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat• Sewing machine with ¼in foot• General sewing supplies
