At age 50, Winona Ryder has ridden out the highs and lows of show business, an industry she calls “brutal” in a rare new interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “You’re working constantly, but if you want to take a break, they tell you, ‘If you slow down, it’s going to stop,’” she said. “And then it did slow down. So then you’re hearing, ‘It’s going to be impossible to come back.’”
Although she never truly disappeared, Ryder solidified her comeback in 2016 as the scrappy and resourceful. This month, Season 4, Volume 2 dropped on Netflix, years after the super-private actress received a 2017 Golden Globe nomination for the role, and along with the rest of the ensemble cast has picked up a Screen Actors Guild Award.
