Q. I would like to know the brand of vehicles sold by Seid & Fisher of Hollywood, Calif., and the years they were in business. A 1951 California plate fits perfectly in this frame.

. As it happens, my online search was successful. I maintain a subscription, useful for genealogy as well as old car research. Searching on “Seid & and a full page of used car ads there. Indeed, Seid & Fisher were selling a “1941 De Soto Custom 4-dr, R&H, spotlight, Beautiful pearl gray. SEID & FISHER, Hudson in Hollywood, 6048 Hollywood Blvd., HO 9-92763.”
