8 INSPIRING gardens

CAWDOR CASTLE GARDENS Inverness

Cawdor has belonged to the Campbell family since the 16th century and remains a family home to this day. The flower gardens are designed to peak in late July, and in 2020, the west border was redesigned with a zigzag path and lots of new planting, including Nandina domestica, geum and centranthus. The rockery, also in the flower garden, has been renovated, too.
