Back when predecessor Salt And Sanctuary was released, 2D soulslikes weren’t so common. These days, that game is still one of the best of its kind. Being inspired is one thing, but what happens when you want to evolve the idea into something brand-new? Ska Studios has made loads of tweaks to make Sacrifice feel completely different. It’d be impressive if it were an improvement, but some of these changes might make you *ahem* salty.
The core of what you do is much the same, and as much a homage to Dark Souls as ever (if anything, things like the emotes menu are perhaps taken
