I may have mentioned that, among my many internal combustion engined oddities, I have a mid-1920s ATCO lawnmower, powered by a two-stroke Villiers motor of around 150cc. I contest that this makes it sort of ‘motorcycle like’ so it can have a mention in this column.
The ATCO features three chains to get the drive to the clutch, then on to the roller, and forwards to the blades. I’d pulled all these off as part of the get-it-going fun, to find that two were at least acceptable
