Buying advice

While parts and chassis supply issues are still causing delays with the delivery of new motorhomes and the exceptionally high demand for used models means choices are limited, there are still new and used models available to buy if you know where to look. Here are some things to bear in mind when buying.

FROM THE MANUFACTURER

Many campervan converters both manufacture and sell direct to buyers so cut out dealers altogether.

This means buyers have a direct relationship with the company producing their new ’van and can often get updates as work progresses. But, be aware that, unless the converter approves remote workshops, buyers will have to return to the converter’s premises to get any warranty work, plus servicing required to maintain the validity of warranties.
