(No More) Slip Kid Lambretta clutch upgrades

Last month we looked at the standard Lambretta clutch and how to overhaul and maintain it. This month we concentrate on the performance clutch market for the Lambretta. Thanks to advances in technology it’s now possible to build a Lambretta engine that delivers more than 30bhp with relative ease. However the potential of a high-performance kit will only be realised if it’s transmitted through a clutch that’s strong enough to cope with the additional stress. Thankfully, as cylinder kits have been developed so too has the clutch and there’s now a wide selection of options that are strong enough to deal with high-performance Lambretta engines.

Choosing the right one can be a difficult decision to make and there’s no one manufacturer who leads the field.
