During lockdown when we were starved of national scooter rallies, my husband Neil and I looked for alternative events to scratch our scootering wanderlust. For two years running we competed in the English National Road Rally, an event that we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, with our rallies back up and running, that now clashes with Cleethorpes. Having developed a taste for the format we decided to give the Welsh equivalent a go; there’s also one in Scotland, and we’re very glad that we did.
Historically, the Welsh National Road Rally (WNRR) was organised by the Clive Motorcycle Club. However, when the club decided to call it a day the National Road Rally Committee stepped in and took over the event’s organisation with support from the ACU and BMF.
